French toast

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of challah bread (or brioche)
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of cream (or half and half)
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 4 eggs
  • Zest of one orange
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

  • Make sure the bread is dry. If fresh, place in the oven for 20 minutes at low heat.
  • Blend everything with an immersion blender.
  • Soak bread for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Grill at 350ºF
